How the New York Giants Won Round 1

     The first round is always a mystery with the Giants. In the last few seasons, they have selected players that nobody expected with their first pick. But this year things finally seemed to change.  With their #5 overall pick, the Giants selected Kayvon T hibodeaux. Aside from Aidan Hutchinson, I saw Thibodeaux as the best defensive player in this draft. And there was a time when he was seen as the consensus #1 overall pick.  I think he slipped a little for two reasons injury and character. On September 4th, he suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for 3 weeks before he returned only to be injured again in that game. After he finally got back onto the field, he quickly looked like himself again and had multiple 2 sack games. People believe that the game missed gave time for Hutchinson to take the lead as the best defensive player and he never looked back. Another issue scouts had with Thibodeaux was his character. NFL MOCK DRAFT 2022

  DOM'S 2022 NFL MOCK DRAFT 1. Jacksonville Jaguars: A idan Hutchinson- DE, Michigan      For the second year in a row, the Jacksonville Jaguars have the first selection in the NFL Draft. This team has a lot of holes and could use a lot of positions but Hutchinson has been the consensus #1 pick for months now and I don't see them passing upon him. He is a strong DE that can take over a game and is clearly the best player in this year's draft.  2. Detroit Lions: Travon Walker- Edge,  Georgia     I originally had Malik Willis being taken here but after thinking it over I decided to go with Travon Walker. Walker has been flying up draft boards for a few weeks now and is widely considered a top-five pick. He is a monstrous defensive end that was a key part of the Georgia Bulldogs College Football Championship. I think that this may be a little high for Walker but I think he will translate well in the league and will pan out for Detroit. As for the QB ...
