NFL MOCK DRAFT 2023

DOM'S 2023 NFL MOCK DRAFT 1. Carolina Panthers:   (via CHI) CJ Stroud- QB, Ohio State After trading for the 1st overall pick it is evident that the Panthers are finally ready to select their QB of the future. The only question is who. Despite recent rumors of this pick being Bryce Young, I think that head coach Frank Reich likes CJ Stroud the most, and after hiring him to be their new head coach this offseason I think Scott Fitterer and David Tepper let him pick his guy. Although I am not as high on Stroud as most, there is no doubt he has a lot of talent and is one of this year's top QBs. But what really convinces me that he is the Panther's guy is this clip from CJ's pro day:  https://twitter.com/brgridiron/status/1638680826941706240?s=20 .  2. Houston Texans: Bryce Young- QB, Alabama The idea that Bryce Young is too short to be a good QB is mindboggling to me. This same conversation has been had about countless quarterbacks over the last few decades, and ...

3 Key Players for a Giants W in Philadelphia

Well, they did it. And I like to think that Brian Daboll read my last post and showed it to the team because everything I mentioned was executed perfectly on Sunday. My first point last week was to shut down Justin Jefferson and with Adoree' Jackson back he was able to do so in the second half. After a pretty big first quarter for Jefferson, it was obvious that the game plan for Minnesota was to feed him the ball as much as possible. With adjustments made at halftime, the Giant's defense was able to keep him quiet in the second half with all credit going to Jackson. Dexter Lawrence also made his presence felt in this game and came up huge on the biggest play of the game. On a crucial 4th and 8 for the Vikings Kirk Cousins was forced to get the ball out quick because of pressure from Dex. The throw was 5 yards short and Xavier McKinney was able to make the tackle and essentially end the game. But perhaps the most important performance of all was that of QB Daniel Jone...

3 Key Players for a Giants W in Minnesota

Just 3 weeks ago, the Giants suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Minnesota Vikings on a 61-yard game-winning field goal at the horn. On Sunday, the G-Men will play in their first playoff game since 2016 in the Super Wild Card round, with a shot at revenge against those same Minnesota Vikings. Since that game on Christmas Eve, both teams have been trending in opposite directions. One week after the loss, the Giants had an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot at home against the Colts. The Giants did so in convincing fashion, blowing out the Colts with the help of Daniel Jones who threw two touchdowns and ran two in himself. As for the Vikings, the next week they played in Lambeau Field against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers and were embarrassed by the score of 41-17. In Week 18 Minnesota looked to gain some confidence back in a beatdown of a deflated Bears team who will be picking first in this year's draft. As for New York, they rested their starters in a game that d...

Could Caleb Williams be the next Patrick Mahomes?

For those of you that may have missed it, this past Saturday USC and UCLA played in one of the better college football games of the year. The Trojans won by the score of 48-45, yet the more prominent headline was the performance of USC's QB Caleb Williams. He threw for 470 yards and had 3 total touchdowns, 2 in the air and 1 on the ground. Watching him play all season, it was clear to see that he has a lot of potentials and is a highly skilled QB. But after the show he put on Saturday, I think he may have more than just potential.  Image via Mark J. Terrill/Associated Press      To give a little background, Williams is a Sophomore that transferred from Oklahoma to USC after a unique freshman year. In his freshman campaign, he began as the backup for Spencer Rattler. Prior to the 2021 season Rattler was seen as a shoo-in to be an NFL first-round pick. After a few disappointing performances, the team looked to Williams to give the Oklahoma Soo...

6 and WHAT?

If you came to me in early September and guaranteed me the Giants would win 3 of the first 7 games I would have asked where to sign. If you told me the Giants would start 6-1, including wins against Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson, I would have laughed in your face. But nonetheless, following a narrow victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New York Football Giants are 6-1. While the main reason for the team's turnaround and culture change is the coaching staff, we will save that for another day. I wanna talk about Daniel Jones.  (via Rich Schultz/Getty Images)     The biggest question going into this season wasn't Daboll, wasn't Saquon, it was DJ, and would he be the guy going forward or not. Prior to the season, my answer to that would be no. I would have said he needed to have an MVP type season in order to be on the team in 2023. But after 7 weeks he is starting to change not only my mind, but the minds of a lot of Giants fans and...
