sin city statement

In what was the Giants’ most important game in three years, they took on the Raiders in the 2025 Tank Bowl, a matchup where the loser would control the number one overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. In typical Giants fashion, with the top pick on the line, they played their best football of the season.

The win drops New York to the number two pick in the draft order, but there is still a path back to the number one selection. A loss to Dallas next week for the Giants, paired with a Raiders win over a suddenly lowly Chiefs team, could still flip the order.

While a loss might have helped the Giants add draft capital, this win still mattered.

Even against a flawed Raiders team, there were legitimate positives. Jaxson Dart looked comfortable, the defense made timely, game-changing plays, and the special teams unit had its best performance of the year.

As I mentioned last week, since the firing of Brian Daboll, Dart had struggled to rediscover the rhythm he showed earlier in the season. Yesterday, some of that juice finally returned. Dart finished 22 of 30 for 207 passing yards, while adding 48 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

That stat line will not blow anyone away, but it was encouraging to see Dart playing with confidence again. And that confidence came directly from being allowed to play his style of football.

Mike Kafka did not call many designed quarterback runs, but whether by coaching design or Dart’s own instincts, he was not hesitant to take off when the opportunity presented itself. His willingness to use his legs kept drives alive, opened up the offense, and proved that his improvisation is his greatest strength.

On the other side of the ball, Big Blue's pass rushers were once again dominant. Abdul Carter continued to pressure the quarterback, recording half a sack and bringing his total to four on the year. Brian Burns added to his impressive season, now at 16.5 sacks, which ranks second in the NFL. Even with injuries in the secondary, backups Dane Belton and Raheem Layne made their presence felt, contributing to the defense. This game was full of positive momentum for this group heading into next year.

Finally, shoutout to Wan'Dale Robinson for his first career 1,000-yard season. As I mentioned in a previous article, getting a quarterback on the Giants would benefit Robinson more than anyone else, and Jaxson Dart helped him reach his full potential.

Next week will be the last post game blog of the season with the Giants heading back home to host the Cowboys in the season finale. But don't worry I still have a lot to say.

NFL MOCK DRAFT 2026

DOM'S NFL MOCK DRAFT 2026 This 2026 Draft has all the makings of a memorable one. According to multiple sources, this could be one of the most trade-heavy draft days in recent memory. Even in an already unpredictable draft, projecting trades is borderline impossible, so I’ll mostly stick to the current order, mixing in a few where it makes sense.  Let's get into it. 1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza- QB, Indiana It’s become a trend in my recent mock drafts that the No. 1 overall pick feels like a consensus no-brainer, and that continues here. All signs point to Mendoza as the choice. He’s an elite pocket passer and will have the benefit of learning behind recently acquired Kirk Cousins. The real question isn’t who they choose but how long it takes before Mendoza takes over as the starter. 2. New York Jets: David Bailey- Edge, Texas Tech  Last Wednesday, the Jets canceled their top-30 meeting with Bailey, leaving people confused and leading some to believe New York could b...

Houston is a Problem

In a wild NBA weekend, the Oklahoma City Thunder won the franchise's first-ever championship, Tyrese Haliburton tore his Achilles, and Kevin Durant was traded to the Rockets. As crazy as it sounds, the Durant news felt more important to me as an NBA fan than Game 7. The Thunder felt like a team of destiny all playoffs long, and after Haliburton went down, it all but solidified they’d become champs. But this article is focused on the next chapter of KD's career in H-Town. Yesterday afternoon, while on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York, Kevin Durant found out he had been traded to the Houston Rockets in exchange for the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft, five second-round picks, Jalen Green, and NBA “villain” Dillon Brooks. (image via theringer.com) This marks the end of the big three of Booker, Beal, and Durant in Phoenix—yet another failed superteam on KD’s résumé. But this move to Houston feels different. Durant, who admitted Houston was at the top of his preferred destination li...
