what? why? how?

A lot of Giants game over the years have left me frustrated, exhausted, angry, and just flat out sad. But the Giants made me feel a different type of emotion yesterday and I still don't know how to describe it.      From the beginning, based off of both teams' tendencies and the forecast of rain all afternoon, we knew it was going to be a low scoring defensive battle. And in a way I guess it was. On the first possession of the game Kayvon Thibodeaux sacked Jet's quarterback Zach Wilson resulting in a fumble recovered by Big Blue. The Giants only were able to manage a field goal (go figure) on the drive and took the early lead. Then began the punt fest, where for most of the first quarter both offenses kept booting it back and forth. That was until the Jet's second-year running back broke free on a screen pass and took it 50-yards for a touchdown late in the first quarter.     The rest of the first half continued to be just punt...

back in the win column

It's good to get one.       The Giants came into Sunday's contest against the Commanders as losers of four straight contests, three of which came in embarrassing fashion. With QB Daniel Jones still not cleared for contact, Tyrod Taylor got his second straight start in this one. And once again he was impressive, putting up 279 yards, 2 TD passes, and no interceptions.      Although Big Blue's offense was stagnant in the second half, they were able to put two really solid drives together in the first half and score a touchdown on each. Yes you read that correctly, touchdown and first half in the same sentence for the NY Giants. Darren Waller's first touchdown in blue could not have came at a better time. This score was the G-Mens first offensive TD in the first half of any game this season, as well as their first offensive TD since September 21st against the 49ers. Not to mention that was the Giants 1st home touchdown of t...

i’m not even that mad

As I sit here writing this on my drive back from Buffalo, I can’t help but think back to all the opportunities that the Giants had last night. Obviously, there was some blatant ones, and we’ll get to that. But being able to hold your own that long, on the road, against one of the best teams in the NFL and not being able to score a touchdown is just so incredibly frustrating. But before I get too heated, let’s get into the game. The first half was extremely slow with two Graham Gano field goals in the first and second quarters respectively being the only points scored.   These were set up by Big Blue’s d-line getting significant pressure on Josh Allen, that resulted in Bobby Okereke and Micah McFadden linking up on two turnovers that gave the Giants good offensive field position. New York’s defense pitched a shutout in the first half and got the ball back to Tyrod Taylor and company with surprising 6-0 lead late in the second quarter. They had the ball on Buffa...

saw that one coming

The Giants once again got embarrassed due to an lackluster offensive performance by DJ and company. And because of that I am once again reluctant to write about this game because of how painful they have become to watch. With that said I'll do my best to get make this one quick and painless.      After yet again failing to score on the opening possession of the game the Giants gave the ball right to the Dolphins who took it down the field with ease. Miami's explosive offense ran it right down the Giants throats and scored almost immediately. New York was then forced to punt again the following drive, and the Dolphins rookie running back  De'Von Achane took the third play of the next drive 76 yards to the house.       Despite a 102-yard pick six from Jason Pinnock before the half (which was the Giants only touchdown of the day) the Giants simply had no answer for the Dolphins. The only significant thing to happen for...

not again...

I'll start by apologizing for the delay on this one. Honestly, I turned that game off after the third quarter and contemplated even writing about it today. But I had to man up, go back, and watch that last abysmal quarter of Giants football, and I'm ready to talk about it...I think      This game started off pretty solid for the G-Men who were marching right down the field on their opening drive until they were faced with a 4th and 1 in Seahawk territory. Daniel Jones did his best Jalen Hurts impression as the Giants did their own version of the 'tush push'. Except instead of giving New York a first down, it blew up right in their face. Not only being short of the line to gain but injuring both John Michael-Schmitz and Daniel Bellinger. Just like the first drive against Dallas, a promising drive was cut short. Also similar to the Cowboys game, it all went downhill from there.      After a solid defensive stand including a sack fro...
