not again...

I'll start by apologizing for the delay on this one. Honestly, I turned that game off after the third quarter and contemplated even writing about it today. But I had to man up, go back, and watch that last abysmal quarter of Giants football, and I'm ready to talk about it...I think

This game started off pretty solid for the G-Men who were marching right down the field on their opening drive until they were faced with a 4th and 1 in Seahawk territory. Daniel Jones did his best Jalen Hurts impression as the Giants did their own version of the 'tush push'. Except instead of giving New York a first down, it blew up right in their face. Not only being short of the line to gain but injuring both John Michael-Schmitz and Daniel Bellinger. Just like the first drive against Dallas, a promising drive was cut short. Also similar to the Cowboys game, it all went downhill from there.

After a solid defensive stand including a sack from Kayvon Thibodeaux, the Giants got the ball back. They then immediately turned it back over via a fumble from Jones on Seattle's strip-sack. That led to a quick DK Metcalf touchdown putting the Giants down 7. New York answered with a Graham Gano field goal. Only for backup QB Drew Lock, who was in for an injured Geno Smith, to throw a 52-yard touchdown pass to tight end Noah Fant. The Giants tackling has been an issue all year but on this play specifically, it felt like all eleven guys had a shot at making the play and whiffed. That touchdown made the score at halftime 14-3. The second half was even easier to summarize; Daniel Jones threw a pick-six and then got sacked... a lot. This all-around sloppy performance ended in a 24-3 route.

This game brings up a lot of questions in New York, one being was Daniel Jones's contract a mistake. As much as I have defended DJ, this is one of those games where it's hard to stand up for him. He had 2 two fumbles (one lost) and two interceptions. One of which was a pick-six that ended up losing the Giants the game. Perhaps it was a miscommunication with Campbell but that ball needs to either be thrown into the back of the endzone in the area of Darren Waller or thrown away. You cannot make that throw in that spot, and DJ should know better. The second pick was just as bad as he was forced to make a quick decision and wasn't able to wait on a route so he just sailed a ball over the receiver's head.

But that leads right into the most glaring issue, the o-line. They did Jones no favors by letting up 11 sacks on the night, which is a franchise record. While the interior line has been a revolving door of backups, last year's 7th overall pick Evan Neal has been less than impressive. It seems as if he is getting beat on almost every snap and forcing Jones into making quick decisions even when nobody is open. Personally, I believe that moving him inside could be very helpful for his development and may allow him to have much more success.

In the end, the only bright spot of the night was Thibodeaux who had two sacks and was finally able to provide pressure off the edge. Aside from that there is not much else positive I can say. The season appears to be lost but there are just so many games left. I never thought a team that won a playoff game last year could get off to this poor a start and yet here we are. I can only pray we survive Miami and Buffalo in the next two weeks, but hey like Daboll says it's one game at a time.

NFL MOCK DRAFT 2025

DOM'S NFL MOCK DRAFT 2025 (Image via NFL.com) 1. Tennessee Titans:   Cam Ward- QB, Miami  The Will Levis experiment in Tennessee failed last season, which led to the Titans holding the first overall pick in the draft. The team needs a QB, and Ward is the best one available. Although he may be a bit of a project, Ward has the intangibles to become a star QB in this league. I love his confidence and composure in the pocket, as well as his elusiveness when he gets free. An A+ pick for the Titans. 2. Cleveland Browns:   Travis Hunter- WR/CB, Colorado Hunter might be the best prospect the NFL has ever seen. Not only is he an elite wide receiver, but he has also become one of the top shutdown corners in all of college football. Although it's still uncertain which position he'll be drafted as, he is worthy of a top-five pick, regardless. I think he...

Houston is a Problem

In a wild NBA weekend, the Oklahoma City Thunder won the franchise's first-ever championship, Tyrese Haliburton tore his Achilles, and Kevin Durant was traded to the Rockets. As crazy as it sounds, the Durant news felt more important to me as an NBA fan than Game 7. The Thunder felt like a team of destiny all playoffs long, and after Haliburton went down, it all but solidified they’d become champs. But this article is focused on the next chapter of KD's career in H-Town. Yesterday afternoon, while on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York, Kevin Durant found out he had been traded to the Houston Rockets in exchange for the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft, five second-round picks, Jalen Green, and NBA “villain” Dillon Brooks. (image via theringer.com) This marks the end of the big three of Booker, Beal, and Durant in Phoenix—yet another failed superteam on KD’s résumé. But this move to Houston feels different. Durant, who admitted Houston was at the top of his preferred destination li...
