make it 8

After Tommy DeVito was injured in his first start of the season last weekend, the Giants' true backup Drew Lock was promoted to QB1 for a Thanksgiving game in Jerry World. As you may expect, the Giants were embarrassed on National Television, losing their eight consecutive game to the rival Dallas Cowboys.  Big Blue started off the game with a very solid offensive drive down the field that resulted in a Tyrone Tracy rushing TD. The clear game plan early on was to get the ball to Malik Nabers, who has recently made several off-field comments about not getting enough touches. Despite this, Dallas matched it with several strong offensive drives of their own. With Dallas' run game led by Rico Dowdle carrying a majority of the workload. Things went from bad to worse when Dexter Lawrence went down with an elbow injury, allowing for even wider holes for him to run through.  This was topped off by a DeMarvion Overshown pick six that gave Dallas a commanding lead and didn't a...

Well, we have a lot to catch up on since my last blog... Since my previous post, Daniel Jones went from QB1 to QB4 to practice safety to a free agent. As I have said for years at this point, the state of the Giants is the lowest it has been maybe ever, and things seem to be getting worse. The way this situation was handled made that even more abundantly clear, from top to the bottom the organization is being run poorly and that is portrayed on the field every Sunday. Yesterday, Tommy DeVito had his first start of 2024 after the Giants overlooked backup Drew Lock and decided to give TD the nod, yet another perfect example of how badly managed they are. Not rewarding hard work and dedication from their backup and instead going with the media darling in an attempt to sell merchandise and put butts in seats for six more weeks.  Despite this, DeVito didn't look as magical as he did in 2023, throwing for just 189 yards and no touchdowns. In his defense, he had no time to throw the ball b...

It's never a good sign when the Giants are losing to Washington. Historically speaking the G-Men have fared well against their division rival, but yesterday marked the first time that the Giants were swept by Washington since 2021, which was their worst season under the new NFL format.  Big Blue's game plan was clear from the get-go, feed Tyrone Tracy, and in the first quarter it worked. Their second drive looked promising with Tracy taking three carries for 10 yards or more. But it came to a screeching halt when Daniel Jones did what he does best, creating the most asinine turnover in the worst possible situation. (Image via Al Bello/Getty Images) A Daniel Jones fumble led to a short field for the Commanders, who quickly took advantage and took a 7-0 lead. In a game where DJ was barely dropping back to throw, this fumble forced the Giants to rely even more on the run. The following drive consisted of 16 plays, 13 of them being rush attempts. Singeltary, Tracy, Slayton, and Jon...
