It's never a good sign when the Giants are losing to Washington. Historically speaking the G-Men have fared well against their division rival, but yesterday marked the first time that the Giants were swept by Washington since 2021, which was their worst season under the new NFL format.

Big Blue's game plan was clear from the get-go, feed Tyrone Tracy, and in the first quarter it worked. Their second drive looked promising with Tracy taking three carries for 10 yards or more. But it came to a screeching halt when Daniel Jones did what he does best, creating the most asinine turnover in the worst possible situation.

A Daniel Jones fumble led to a short field for the Commanders, who quickly took advantage and took a 7-0 lead.

In a game where DJ was barely dropping back to throw, this fumble forced the Giants to rely even more on the run. The following drive consisted of 16 plays, 13 of them being rush attempts. Singeltary, Tracy, Slayton, and Jones are all getting carries. They capped off this possession with Daniel Jones's first home touchdown pass since he signed his $160 million contract. A one-yard throw to third-string tight end Chris Manhertz.

After tying the game, a well-rested Giants defense looked all out of sorts. They let up two touchdowns in the final seven minutes of the half. It looked as if the defense just gave up, specifically Deonte Banks who was lost trying to guard Terry McLaurin in the red zone.

Although the final score made it seem like a close game, New York never had a chance to win this game after that collapse at the end of the first half.

A huge part of this was the Commander's run game, as they were able to dominate the Giants even without their star RB Brian Robinson Jr. All three of their backup running backs and QB Jayden Daniels getting 8 plus carries.

The defense had their worst game of the season, yet they still allowed fewer than 30 points. Bad defensive games will happen, but once again the real issue was the horrid offense. A garbage time touchdown brought New York's total up to 22, the most points scored in a home game all year and the second-highest scoring game of the season. Even with that, the Giants are still deadlast in points per game this season with an average of just 15.4 per contest.

I hate that I have to continue to repeat myself week after week in these blogs, but until DJ is gone there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel.

At this point I feel like the only reason to continue starting Daniel Jones is to lose on purpose, and get a higher draft pick. The season is lost and unless the Giants make a deal for Bryce Young or Anthony Richardson, there won't be anything to look forward to until April. On a more positive not, here's a link to the projected number one pick Cam Ward's highlight tape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKQrrdInCKA

NFL MOCK DRAFT 2025

DOM'S NFL MOCK DRAFT 2025 (Image via NFL.com) 1. Tennessee Titans:   Cam Ward- QB, Miami  The Will Levis experiment in Tennessee failed last season, which led to the Titans holding the first overall pick in the draft. The team needs a QB, and Ward is the best one available. Although he may be a bit of a project, Ward has the intangibles to become a star QB in this league. I love his confidence and composure in the pocket, as well as his elusiveness when he gets free. An A+ pick for the Titans. 2. Cleveland Browns:   Travis Hunter- WR/CB, Colorado Hunter might be the best prospect the NFL has ever seen. Not only is he an elite wide receiver, but he has also become one of the top shutdown corners in all of college football. Although it's still uncertain which position he'll be drafted as, he is worthy of a top-five pick, regardless. I think he...

Houston is a Problem

In a wild NBA weekend, the Oklahoma City Thunder won the franchise's first-ever championship, Tyrese Haliburton tore his Achilles, and Kevin Durant was traded to the Rockets. As crazy as it sounds, the Durant news felt more important to me as an NBA fan than Game 7. The Thunder felt like a team of destiny all playoffs long, and after Haliburton went down, it all but solidified they’d become champs. But this article is focused on the next chapter of KD's career in H-Town. Yesterday afternoon, while on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York, Kevin Durant found out he had been traded to the Houston Rockets in exchange for the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft, five second-round picks, Jalen Green, and NBA “villain” Dillon Brooks. (image via theringer.com) This marks the end of the big three of Booker, Beal, and Durant in Phoenix—yet another failed superteam on KD’s résumé. But this move to Houston feels different. Durant, who admitted Houston was at the top of his preferred destination li...
