mile high meltdown

Boy oh boy, just when I thought we were done inventing new way to lose football games, we do it again. In quite literally the worst loss I have ever seen as a Giants fan, and maybe even the worst in NFL history. After leading 19-0, the Giants let up 33 fourth-quarter points, losing 33-32.

For the first three quarters, it felt great to be a Giants fan again. Our rookie QB shining on the road against the league's best defense, while our pass rushers were terrorizing Bo Nix. Then things just fell apart.

I've watched the Giants all my life, at this point it's almost as if I have a sixth sense for when they're about to blow a game. Right after the Broncos scored that first touchdown to make it 19-8, I started to get that eerie feeling. And sure enough my spidey-senses were correct.

Dart took an awkward hit in the third quarter causing him to limp off the field. This changed the way the Giants had to call the game, forcing them to relying heavily on the run. The Broncos caught onto this and were able to get the ball back and score quickly again. Dart, under pressure, then threw a horrible interception that swung the momentum completely.

A lot of talking heads on TV this morning are saying Daboll should’ve let Dart use his legs more. But I’m convinced his ankle was bothering him enough to alter the entire game plan.

Speaking of injuries, the loss of Paulsen Adebo forced the Giants to look to Deonte Banks late in the fourth, and in big spot after big spot, he came up short. Allowing a TD and multiple chunk plays, which played a huge role in the G-Men blowing the lead.

Then there's Jude McAtamney, the Rutgers product shanked not one but two extra points. He's in for the injured Graham Gano. This is now the THIRD time the Giants have lost as a direct result of not having a competent kicker on the roster in the last two years, absolutely unacceptable. Yet another tough decision to defend from Daboll.

That said, I liked Daboll's and Kafka's play calling for the most part and blame this one, again, on Shane Bowen. After calling a phenomenal first three quarters, he took his foot off the gas instead of stepping on the Broncos necks in the fourth. With a chance to play aggressive and close the game he opted to play prevent defense. Most notably dropping eight into coverage on the Broncos final drive, rather than utilizing the team's strength, their defensive line. This is now the second time his laissez faire play calling has cost Big Blue a win.

Giants defensive leader Brian Burns was caught on video in an NSFW  rant, saying, “stupid-ass s*** dropping eight,” a direct shot at defensive coordinator Shane Bowen for not allowing him to attack the quarterback and close out the game.

Perhaps I'm not the only one who thinks he should be out of a job.

Anyways, this one is going to take me a while to get over, but on the brightside, our QB just scored four TDs on the best defense in the league and looks pretty legit, this team's still got juice, and we scored 30 points in back to back games. So let's at least try to look at the glass half full.

G-Men head down to Philly this week, to face the Eagles in a TNF rematch.

NFL MOCK DRAFT 2026

DOM'S NFL MOCK DRAFT 2026 This 2026 Draft has all the makings of a memorable one. According to multiple sources, this could be one of the most trade-heavy draft days in recent memory. Even in an already unpredictable draft, projecting trades is borderline impossible, so I’ll mostly stick to the current order, mixing in a few where it makes sense.  Let's get into it. 1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza- QB, Indiana It’s become a trend in my recent mock drafts that the No. 1 overall pick feels like a consensus no-brainer, and that continues here. All signs point to Mendoza as the choice. He’s an elite pocket passer and will have the benefit of learning behind recently acquired Kirk Cousins. The real question isn’t who they choose but how long it takes before Mendoza takes over as the starter. 2. New York Jets: David Bailey- Edge, Texas Tech  Last Wednesday, the Jets canceled their top-30 meeting with Bailey, leaving people confused and leading some to believe New York could b...

sin city statement

In what was the Giants’ most important game in three years, they took on the Raiders in the 2025 Tank Bowl, a matchup where the loser would control the number one overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. In typical Giants fashion, with the top pick on the line, they played their best football of the season. The win drops New York to the number two pick in the draft order, but there is still a path back to the number one selection. A loss to Dallas next week for the Giants, paired with a Raiders win over a suddenly lowly Chiefs team, could still flip the order. While a loss might have helped the Giants add draft capital, this win still mattered. Even against a flawed Raiders team, there were legitimate positives. Jaxson Dart looked comfortable, the defense made timely, game-changing plays, and the special teams unit had its best performance of the year. As I mentioned last week, since the firing of Brian Daboll, Dart had struggled to rediscover the rhythm he showed earlier in the season. Yes...
